According to BabyCenter.com
He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
I went to the the doctor on Thursday, I lost 1 lb! So, now I feel like I'm where I should be since I supposedly gained 9 lbs the last time! That's just crazy... it had to be the boots! FHR = 155 bpm, and I'm measuring where I'm supposed to be, whatever that means. I still cannot believe that the baby is going to be having a major growth spurt the the next few weeks, I just feel so huge already.
Thank goodness this week went by faster than last. Thursday, Eli started coughing quite a bit. He did not have a fever. Emily and Becky came over to babysit so Aaron and I could go to dinner. We ended up going to Pot Pie. It was delicious. We both got the Monkfish, it came with mashed sweet potatoes and I think a brussel sprout side. Then we had their awesome bread pudding for dessert. It was so good. I'm usually not a fan of bread pudding, but it was delicious! We were home before 9pm. Emily and Becky were surprised we were home so early, but to be honest, we were both so tired. We were also betting whether Eli would even go to bed for them. He was up when we got home, but I can also attribute that to Stoli barking at us when we arrived. They said he did fall asleep for a little while.
That night I was up with Eli quite a bit. He had a hard timesleeping because he was so congested, and coughing. Poor guy. He was so tired, but cranky. We both did not sleep very well. We decided to keep him home Friday, so Aaron and I split the day, I had a presentation to give at work that afternoon I could not miss.
When Eli woke up, it was in a pretty good mood despite his cold. He was still coughing a sneezing a lot. He also just needed a good nap. Too bad there is not any medicine we can give him. We did the Vicks Vaporub and that seemed to help a little.
Friday night we called it an early night and Aaron and I watched a movie. His family is coming down tomorrow for his B-day.
